First soak the rice for 20 minutes. Then wash the rice well and drain the water. Heat ghee in a large pan and fry it with onion and hot spice powder. When onion turns brown, fry with rice for five minutes. Cover and cook with adequate amount of water and salt. Then stir in the saffron soaked milk, sugar, cashew nuts and raisins and cook with the lid on. Until then, the fragrance will continue to come out from the polao. Now boil the rice and serve hot.
